"I have been trying to contact him to no avail like the rest of the commentary on the reviews. If I lived close enough and it wasn't my late mother's policy I'd show up at the office and change agents and insurance companies asap. Went to the location since all my calls and messages are ignored and the office is empty and a for lease sign in the window."

"I’ve been a customer for 10+ years and have had 2 home claims the entire time. With the first one, I didn’t know the process and reached out for help walking me through it. Couldn’t get anyone to call me back until finally I got a hold of someone who dismissed my questions and said he “couldn’t help me with it, just google what happens”. Finally Jake called a couple weeks after when I sent a frustrated email about the service but it was already over… The 2nd one has been “in review” for 3 months and I can’t use my basement until it’s approved. I ask Jake for help with it, crickets. I do some calling and find out State Farm was waiting on pictures for the last 2 months. No one told me this, Jake didn’t help whatsoever and I had to figure it out myself. Jake finally sent a reply asking if a time worked on Friday or Monday this last week. I said Friday morning he didn’t call at all that day. Monday, same thing. Still hasn’t called back and I’ve been asking through email and voicemail for a call. It’s embarrassing having to track down the person who you’re paying for assistance in times like these. I can’t imagine if something more serious happened and we had to rely on him for help. If you want to pay for insurance but don’t need any assistance ever, Jake’s your guy! Everyone else should go literally anywhere else they can. So many providers out there these days. State Farm isn’t as big of a name as it used to be and I can do way better somewhere else without even knowing them."

"Zero stars here!! Tried to call Jake’s office to help figure things for my mother, who is also a client of Jake’s, but could not get any calls back. Carl, his assistant was flippant and unprofessional. After reading the current reviews we are very concerned about if we even have adequate coverage. Another big question…is Jake even real?!"

"Had an accident with our RV and were told it wasn’t insured when I called his office. I was told he would call me back. It’s been four days now no call back no help..Cancelled all my policies and went with a different company. Terrible customer service."

"I would give zero stars. I had him as an agent. I ended up having a claim at one of my rentals. Well turns out i didn't have insurance. Wouldn't return my calls or emails. Had to switch agents found out 2 more properties didn't have insurance. Also, my spray foam truck for my business I bought 7 months ago he said was insured and turns out it wasn't. Also sold a house and was still paying insurance when i told him I sold it a year ago. NOT HAPPY HIRING AN ATTORNEY TO SUE HIM!"

"Would give zero stars if possible. He contacted me about bundling my auto and home for a better deal I said I had to think about it. He then contacted me a few more times asking if I was ready I said I wanted a quote and instead of a quote I got a large bill in the mail I tried for a couple weeks to contact him with no luck I left a few messages and still no call back so I had to call customer service and when they called his office he answered right away they explained the situation to him and he said he would call me within the hour. After waiting 3 hours he never called so I called customer service again they called him and he answered again and he said he was busy and would take care of it again he did not and never responded to any future messages i left. My last attempt of contacting him was to switch agents and yeah he couldn’t talk to me again so yup customer service had to force a transfer. This guy should not be an agent if he can’t admit to a mistake he made and help fix the problem he caused not just ignoring it hoping it would go away. I would ot use this guy as your agent there are way better ones out there. This guy dose not care."

"Do not use Mr. Schreder as an agent! My fiance' called for a quote on home owner insurance. Just a quote. Mr. Schreder proceeded to process the policy without proper signature or confirmation on the new policy. My fiance' reached out to Mr. Schreder multiple times. He would call the office where Mr.Schreder worked and he would not answer. Another agent would answer. They would try and reach Mr.Schreder in his office while on the phone with my fiance' and he would answer the phone. The issue was being dismissed. When dealing with homeowners insurance and mortgage this can be a stressful thing. My fiance's mortgage went way up because he ended up paying on two policies when he was only supposed to have one. Mr. Schreder has cause nothing but chaos and frustration. He should not be helping people handle important matters by any means. This is a heads up for anyone trying to use Mr. Schreder as a Statefarm insurance agent."

"I too would give zero stars if possible. I went with Jake because my husband had been with this office since he was a teenager. The poor customer service was/is astonishing. After we married I was supposed to be added to my husbands policies so we would have everything under both names and I could get the multicar discount. Found out later on that they hadn't put us together, my son and I were under a different policy on our own. Jake never returned calls, I would have to call several times in order to get anything resolved. When we made the choice to switch offices, we found out that we didn't have adequate coverage, we were not getting multicar discounts and he didn't tell us about the over 55 discount. We saved several hundreds of dollars and are waiting for a retro refund. It's unfortunate that the Corporate Office doesn't audit these agents/brokers it just poor business. Would never refer anyone to "Jake at State Farm""

"If we could give our experience with this agent 0 stars, we would. We aren't people who typically write reviews, but this experience was so bad, we felt we needed to make others aware. We have well over 50 saved emails and more than 10 phone-hours with this agent and the State Farm corporate office that clearly show a pattern of mismanagement of funds, policies, claims and premiums by this agent. We've been policy holders with State Farm for almost 25 years and never had a single issue with the company until this agent took over this branch office.The incredible amount time spent trying to deal with our insurance policies shows an obvious pattern of neglect on our agent's part. There were endless empty guarantees. Our requests for documentation or proof of submitted forms and paperwork would never be provided but instead just brushed off with more promises. Because of this agent's poor handling of our multiple policies, we overpaid on premiums and then would be repeatedly assured we'd be be getting credits or refunds to compensate for the overpayments. We never saw a dime of that money back. The agent lacked follow up and follow through. He was notorious for being "really busy" or 'in the car" and would promise a phone call or email reply within "5 minutes". Those return calls wouldn't happen. He would claim that paperwork was "in underwriting" and when we'd follow up with the corporate office, we'd find our that he had never actually submitted any of it. The service was so bad, that even when we tried to cancel all our policies and leave the company, it still took hours of phone calls with the corporate office to get it done because this agent wouldn't submitted our cancellation notifications. What's even more ridiculous is that he was the sole person with the authority to canceling our policies and authorize the the return of our unused premiums. We couldn't even get him to let us go! We highly recommend working with a different State Farm office."

"He took good of me. Helped me insure my 89 foot yacht. I had an explosion back in 2019. He made sure I was covered and everything worked out. The houseboat was not damaged that bad. He still helped me to recover plenty to make her ship shape again. Thanks Jake, from state farm! CJ"

"I cannot give Jake enough stars. He is extremely receptive at handling all of my needs. I have moved multiple times and he has handled my insurance for rentals/cars/etc. He gets back to me promptly and is always easy to get a hold of. Highly recommend."

"The worst customer service I have ever experienced! Not sure if it's because I've never met them in person and purchased my insurance over the phone, or because I don't live nearby. Changing the address on my renters policy took 3 weeks, and in the end I had 2 policies going at the same time! Also took weeks to get a car i sold off my policy. If I called the office, I repeatedly ended up talking not to Jake, but someone else. The agents I ended up dealing with said, this will take a lot of digging to figure out your policy.... Really? I just moved. That's all! I have one car and one apartment. Can't be THAT complicated. Switched to a different company to save money and get better service. Of course, it took another 2 months and lots and lots of phone calls before I had all my State Farm policies cancelled! And then I'm still getting bills sent from them saying I STILL HAVE A POLICY!!"
